So last week didn't go so well because I got a stomach bug and didn't eat for 2 days and then my body was trying to make up for it by getting really hungry. The 3 pounds or so that I lost being sick came back. With the stress of work and the need to get my body to recovery, I didn't track my food. But, the good news is that my weight stayed basically the same--I just went up .1 pounds!
I'm back to tracking my food today!
Good luck to those of you that are also on your weight loss journey! This will be a good week for us all!
While you are here, leave me some yummy, healthy snack ideas that you like!

Weigh-In: Down 4.9 lbs!
Yeah!! I didn't always make the right choices BUT I made more conscious choices. This is a great kick start for sure!
Focus for this week: continue to track, make conscious choices, and incorporate more activity.

Catching up
Yesterday was one of those days that was overtaken by work and some bad choices and no tracking or weighing in. Although I made some bad choices, like getting a bag of hot buffalo wing Ruffles that I just HAD to try, I fought my inner demon and instead of having an unhealthy dinner cooked some chicken and had a couple of tacos with cheese (that I measured!). So, overall I guess it was a balance of good and bad.
Today was overtaken by Sebastian getting sick so I didn't track my food but I did weigh myself in the morning and I was down 3.5 pounds!! I didn't eat very much today because I didn't want Sebastian to eat anything other than the Cheerios I let him eat and chicken soup.
So, tomorrow I have to start tracking again and next week I need to start putting some activity into my days. Today I did walk a little bit in the morning during our attempt to get to music class and getting back home because Sebastian had thrown up.

Loving the feeling...
...of calmness. Amazing how being focused on my eating makes all the craziness that used to get to me go away.
Today I got work done, have energy, haven't been distracted, I've tracked my food, haven't been bothered by what isn't picked up in the house, and just feel good overall. And all that even with AF visiting!

We are what we repeatedly do
I saw this quote to day and it struck me...
Repetition and order alwyas helps me be excel (it's the inner Aries in me!).
I am still down 2.2 pounds as of this morning!!
I had a protein rich (and a "little" fat :-) breakfast--egg, egg white, 3 strips of bacon, two corn tortillas, and ketchup)--but I was just in the mood for a heavy breakfast. All the sodium is making me pretty thirsty, though.
For lunch it will be a big salad and for dinner it will be leftover pasta.
Have a great day!

Quick Update
Yesterday I did good overall but still have to work on not killing points with an easy sweet or salty fix. I drank 10 cups of water!
I weighed in this morning but didn't get to write it down and now I don't remember what it was but I think I was down another pound. I'll know for sure tomorrow.
Just had a nice big salad and I measured all the things that are worth points before I finished putting together my salad - go me! Lettuce, cucumber, yellow bell pepper, beets, 1 oz shredded moz cheese, 2 oz turkey ham, and 2 tbsp reduced fat balsamic vinegrette...yummy!
I am feeling good and glad to have gotten back on track. Having a good weight loss in my official at-home weekly weigh-in next week will be good motivation to keep going. But overall I want to focus on 1-2 pounds a week ongoing.
Okay, back to work!

Weigh-In this morning!
I lost 1 1/2 pounds this morning! I have to maintain that but it is a good sign!
At the end of the day yesterday I went over by 12 points but I still have 23 Flex Points for the week!

Reaching end of Day 1
So I have been good at tracking my food intake today but I have to admit that I was so hungry all afternoon. I didn't deprive myself but I think my body needs to get used to eating less and that is going to take some time.
I didn't have any WW Points left for dinner because of the afternoon stacking and the brownie I had but 1) that's what Flex points are for 2) I know I have been successful in the past going over my Flex points for the week, and 3) I did better than I would have had I not been paying attention to my intake. I did guess and probably inflated the points on a couple of things but that's fine.
So far I am 9 points over my daily allowance so I will have to have a very low point snack before going to bed. I've had 8 cups of water so far and took all my vitamins...go me!

Here I go!
I am emotional eater. Yeap, and that has put me in that dark place of eating without caring and gaining 25 pounds in the last 6 months. NOT GOOD!
There have been many individual situations reminding me of my vision -- to be healthy and live a long, healthy life for my baby boy. So, I vow to myself to get back on the bandwagon and track my food intake, measure and weigh what I eat, and make wise choices...like being present when I start emotionally eating and find ways to prevent it. I am not going to deprive myself from eating what I like but I am going to eat in moderation. I know how to follow Weight Watchers and have been successful before, I have measuring cups and spoons, and I have a food scale - NO EXCUSES!
This morning I started by giving away the chocolate-covered-cake-lolli-pops-shaped-like-roses I got this weekend, measuring my breakfast, finding their WW point values, documenting it on my planner, and starting this blog. I really debated starting this but it helped me 3-4 years ago when I did this so although I won't have many followers I can at least talk to myself and encourage myself along.
I have a lot of weight to lose but I am going to take it one pound at a time.
Let's Go! Two, Three! ;-) (my little homage to Sebastian)
